High Fire Danger

High When the fire danger is "high", fires can start easily from most causes and small fuels (such as grasses and needles) will ignite readily. Unattended campfires and brush fires are likely to escape. Fires will spread easily, with some areas of high-intensity burning on slopes or concentrated fuels. Fires can become serious and difficult to control unless they are put out while they are still small. Mowing or edging generally be done in the morning. Mowing, edging, or clearing dead vegetation should be limited to the morning hours. Having a nearby source of water may be helpful.

Director Michelle Maddon

Director Michelle Maddon is a passionate community leader living in Lathrop with her family. She has served for six years on the Measure C Oversight Committee, where she focused on ensuring transparency and accountability in local funding initiatives. Additionally, Director Maddon has served on numerous hiring panels for the City of Lathrop. Director Maddon is passionate that the public has access to the Fire District and that the LMFD is reflecting the highest levels of transparency.

Director Maddon was appointed to the Fire Board by the Lathrop Manteca Fire District's Board of Directors after a board vacancy, application process, and a thorough review of community member applicants.

Term of Office: December 2024 - December 2028
