Engine 34

Fire Engine 34

Fire Engine 34 was purchased in 2007 for approximately $450,000. Engine 34 was purchased to be the first our fire engine at newly opened fire station 34 in 2008. Engine 34 carries 750 gallons of water and meets the standards for a type 1 fire engine per California FireScope, NFPA, and the Insurance Services Office standards. Engine 34 was built to have a tighter wheel base to help it maneuver through the neighborhoods being built in the Mossdale area of Lathrop. The neighborhoods have narrow roads and limited access into and out of neighborhoods. The tighter wheelbase has seen many benefits and the LMFD has carried this design forward in some of its newer apparatus.
