High Fire Danger

High When the fire danger is "high", fires can start easily from most causes and small fuels (such as grasses and needles) will ignite readily. Unattended campfires and brush fires are likely to escape. Fires will spread easily, with some areas of high-intensity burning on slopes or concentrated fuels. Fires can become serious and difficult to control unless they are put out while they are still small. Mowing or edging generally be done in the morning. Mowing, edging, or clearing dead vegetation should be limited to the morning hours. Having a nearby source of water may be helpful.

Director Elliott and his family have been longstanding residents of the City of Lathrop. The Elliott family has called Lathrop home for over 50 years. Mark served previous terms on the Lathrop City Council, Planning Commission, and numerous other boards in the area. He continues to be heavily involved with youth sports in Lathrop. Mark attended San Joaquin Delta College and holds a Bachelors Degree of Science in Criminal Justice from the California State University Sacramento.
