High Fire Danger

High When the fire danger is "high", fires can start easily from most causes and small fuels (such as grasses and needles) will ignite readily. Unattended campfires and brush fires are likely to escape. Fires will spread easily, with some areas of high-intensity burning on slopes or concentrated fuels. Fires can become serious and difficult to control unless they are put out while they are still small. Mowing or edging generally be done in the morning. Mowing, edging, or clearing dead vegetation should be limited to the morning hours. Having a nearby source of water may be helpful.

Fire Chief's Agreement

The position of Fire Chief for the Lathrop Manteca Fire District serves many responsibilities. They are the "Chief Executive Officer" of the fire district. In addition to their responsibilities to direct and overall supervise the organization the position also holds functional responsibility as the Fire Marshal. The position is essential and legislative in nature that ensures alignment between legislative hearings, code adoption, permitting, enforcement, and the fire board.
