High Fire Danger

High When the fire danger is "high", fires can start easily from most causes and small fuels (such as grasses and needles) will ignite readily. Unattended campfires and brush fires are likely to escape. Fires will spread easily, with some areas of high-intensity burning on slopes or concentrated fuels. Fires can become serious and difficult to control unless they are put out while they are still small. Mowing or edging generally be done in the morning. Mowing, edging, or clearing dead vegetation should be limited to the morning hours. Having a nearby source of water may be helpful.

LMFD Releases its ALS Enhancement Plan

The Lathrop Manteca Fire Districts Board of Directors has authorized the Fire Chief to submit a plan to move forward with providing Advanced Life Support to our citizens. The plan will be submitted to the San Joaquin County Local Emergency Medical Services Authority for review. The county will have 90 days to either approve or deny the plan. If the plan is approved the fire district will have to start the negotiation process to get a signed agreement.
