Fee Schedule

The LMFD Fire Prevention Bureau's fees are identified in the District's adopted fee schedule. The fee schedule was recently updated on January 19, 2023 by action of the Lathrop Manteca Fire District's Board of Directors with the passage of Ordinance 2023-01. As the empowering governmental body with the authority to establish fee's, the role of the Fire Board (should they choose to do so) is to establish the fee and determine to what extent should the taxpaying community subsidize the "full costs of business" associated with those fees. Essentially this means if an entity (business, developer, owner, etc.) chooses to develop land, build, remodel, or open a business that their is a "business approach" to our services cost apportionment. When the board chooses to establish fee's, more of your tax dollars are going towards providing emergency services.

Fee's are subjected to a thorough "nexus analysis" by a qualified third party to independently identify the cost of service. The analysis takes into consideration employee pay, time on task, necessary support functions, and among a few other considerations, the number of employees it takes to perform the necessary tasks. In alignment with California Proposition 4 (passed November 6, 1979), other statutes, and good transparency practices, the LMFD publishes this nexus analysis below as a supportive document.
