Fire Station 31

Fire Station 31 Lathrop, CA

Fire Station 31's primary first response area covers the City of Lathrop East of Interstate 5 and extends North of Louise Avenue to Roth Road. Station 31 houses the Fire Districts ladder truck company and is staffed twenty four hours every day of the year. This station also houses the Fire Districts Water Tender that is used to shuttle water to rural areas that do not have fire hydrants.

Interesting Fire Fact: Fire Station 31 housed the Fire Districts administrative offices from its opening in 1976 until sometime in the early 1990's. At that time the Administrative Offices were relocated to space owned by the J.R. Simplot Company on Howland Road. The space on Howland Road was also one of the first temporary locations for the new City of Lathrop's City Hall. The fire district was a major supporter of the cities incorporation and shared the building's leased space with the City of Lathrop on the Simplot site. By the late 1990's the city and Fire District shared space was outgrown. The fire district moved back to the Fire Station 31 property and into the modular building that sits near the front of the property today. Plans are being made to update the old administrative portable building to bring a finished appearance to the site at Fire Station 31.

Fire Station 31 was remodeled and enhanced in 2021 at a cost of just over $4 million dollars to accommodate the growing needs of the Fire District.
