High Fire Danger

High When the fire danger is "high", fires can start easily from most causes and small fuels (such as grasses and needles) will ignite readily. Unattended campfires and brush fires are likely to escape. Fires will spread easily, with some areas of high-intensity burning on slopes or concentrated fuels. Fires can become serious and difficult to control unless they are put out while they are still small. Mowing or edging generally be done in the morning. Mowing, edging, or clearing dead vegetation should be limited to the morning hours. Having a nearby source of water may be helpful.

Rescue Systems 1 Course Updates

The course starting on May 1st and extending 7th, 8th, 13th, and 14th is cancelled and will be rescheduled. The other Rescue Systems courses will continue as planned. Feel free to use the calendar for the course announcements. Students who wish to signup should be able to click on the course title to view the enrollment form. Student's enrollment in the course is not secured till payment is processed. Online payment can be completed on Fire District's homepage after receipt of the invoice.
