Rescue 30 Fire Engine

The LMFD maintains a highly trained nucleus of specialized rescue personnel and equipment.

Responses involving building collapses, complicated vehicle accidents with people trapped, and other industrial emergencies can require specialized tools and training. The LMFD has trained members that can perform these complicated rescues. These rescues are time, personnel, and equipment intensive. Many of these tools carry an additional expense that require extra training to be used and maintained.

In addition, Rescue 30 provides hazardous materials response personnel and equipment to meet the dangers exposed by a growing commercial economy.
